Who this is for
Buying twenty spools is a different problem from buying one. The questions change from which material to whether the colour will match across a term, whether the invoice will satisfy a procurement process, and whether the same product will still be available in three months.
We quote for schools and university departments, makerspaces and libraries, print farms and small production shops, and engineering teams printing jigs, fixtures and prototypes in volume.
What we can quote on
We can quote on any product in our catalogue, and on other lines from the same manufacturers where they are available to us. That includes colours, diameters and spool weights not currently listed on the site, because the listing set is narrower than the range the manufacturers actually publish.
Tell us what you need rather than restricting yourself to what is on the shop page. If we cannot get it, we will say so plainly instead of quoting a substitute.
What we need in order to quote
A quote request that answers these gets a useful reply first time. Anything missing turns into a round of questions and costs you a day.
| Detail | Why it changes the quote |
|---|---|
| Material and brand | Availability and price vary between manufacturers for the same material family. |
| Colour, diameter, spool weight | These identify the specific SKU. A material name alone is not orderable. |
| Quantity, and whether it repeats | A single case and a standing termly order are priced differently. |
| Delivery address and deadline | Lead time is the constraint that most often decides what we can offer. |
| Batch consistency requirements | Matching colour across spools narrows what we can source and needs flagging up front. |
| Procurement requirements | Purchase order numbers, tax documentation or a named remittance process. Tell us early and we will tell you what we can support. |
How a bulk order works
- You send the requirement. The details above, through the contact page.
- We check availability and quote. The quote names the exact SKU, the quantity, the total price and the lead time we expect. It is a quote against current availability, not a reservation of stock.
- You confirm and pay. Payment is through Stripe, the same as any order on the site.
- We place the order and keep you posted. If any part of it turns out to be unavailable, we tell you and refund that part. We do not substitute a different product without your agreement.
What we will not do
These are the shortcuts that make a bulk supplier look good until the order lands.
- Quote a price we cannot honour. A quote reflects what the item actually costs us to source at that moment.
- Claim stock we do not hold. We source on order. We do not have a warehouse and we will not describe one.
- Publish a discount schedule we have not tested. Volume pricing follows what suppliers will actually give us on the day, so we quote per enquiry rather than printing a tier table that may not survive contact with a real order.
- Substitute silently. If the exact SKU is gone, that is a conversation, not a shipping decision.
Reseller and supplier enquiries
This page is about buying from us. If you manufacture or distribute filament and want to sell through us, we are interested and the route is the same. Have your product range, delivery areas and trade terms ready when you write.
